Visited one year prior to the Centennial Anniversary of Unified Romania, the fortress was now in very good shape, with new bronze statues, renovated buildings, a newly paved walkway an exhibition of relics from a Roman Legion - Legion XIII Gemina.
The small museum from the Union Hall has a few stories to tell as well.
Since we stayed one night in the city, we managed to visit the citadel by day and by night, feeling happy that the city is on a good track regarding its touristic attractions and its own preserved history.
