A city of Catalan pride - I have seen here more Catalan flags hung from balconies than in Barcelona, maybe because the city is Catalunya's capital. The Jewish quarter - one of the best-preserved in the world - impressed me the most. That is why it is packed with tourists and it is also a filming location. The granite-paved winding streets running up and down the Cathedral and the hospitality of the locals still bring back precious memories, although we stayed here no more than two hours.
