Although a new complex built in the Maramures style of wooden churches, on a hill surrounded by fir forests, this monastery was for us the hidden gem of Maramures County. The greatness of this complex is given by its architectural unity and the fact that the predominant building material consists of wood gives you a feeling of safety and warmth.
