Deva is a city synonymous with its fortress, which has happily gone through an intense restoration process. The citadel that was literally a ruin has been rebuilt and it is now a real touristic attraction, featuring architectural lighting by night, an elevator, wooden bridges and pathways, and, none the least, a 360° view over the city below.
Here the visitor can discover important museums and palaces that house Dacian relics and Baroque art, pottery and porcelain, a lapidary, relics from the fortress, and even a natural history museum, with dioramas and stuffed animals.
