At the heart of this village stays the old peasant fortress, with inner walls and towers. Its forgotten stories have fascinated me since childhood - tales of surprise attacks over the village, where people could defend themselves and their animals between the protective walls. Now a small museum, this citadel can help you better understand the medieval Transylvanian lifestyle. Nearby we always used to have a nice family picnic and so we did in the summer of 2009 when we enjoyed the shadow of the oak forest on a hot day.

People still live here almost like hundreds of years ago, without complaining and trying to make ends meet from the soil that, after their hard work, nurtures them.
