Gaudi's project until his tragic end, the greatest and the hardest, for which he sacrificed his comfort, his personal life, his ego, end eventually, his life. A synthesis of everything he had created, reflecting an extraordinary ability to combine mathematical genius with playful imagination and creativity. You can see naturalist motifs everywhere: inside you find yourself projected into a forest of columns with branches expanding throughout the ceiling, infinite snail-shaped staircases inside the seemingly infinite towers, and vegetal decorations inside-out. It is a temple dedicated to God through the embodiments of his perfect creation.
Engineers still working on the construction site are stunned even today by the Math behind and the alien vision of this man. Even though during his life span he completed no more than a quarter of the entire basilica, Antonio Gaudi left through his sketches and mathematical studies the legacy of his incredible dream, that of freedom of thinking beyond the boundaries of his age.
