The moment the budget for the park's project was gone, this man invested his own income, and when that had also been spent, not being enough to purchase the needed quantities of faience for his mosaics, he then broke into pieces his own porcelain sets and succeeded in finishing the most original public garden...
If you look very closely at the mosaic medallions from the ceiling above the collonades, you can spot remnants of coffee cups and saucers...
