London - Saint Paul's Cathedral - 2019

Unfortunately, it was almost closing time, but with a lot of determination, we succeeded in climbing all the stairs up to the top, and we experienced a breathtaking view of London from above. It was also very nice to have in mind the memories made by Saint Peter's  Basilica from the Papal State as if a pair was now being reunited. The comparison between these two couldn't be avoided and for me, personally, the most striking difference was that regarding the views over the cities.  London seemed colder and more metallic, with its taller buildings, with Canary Wharf made of glass and steel skyscrapers, as if the power of Protestants and of Big Business was somehow competing with the power of the Catholic Church.
